Three games. That's all that might stand between Liverpool and Champions League qualification after Sunday's heart-stopping victory over Everton at Goodison Park.

The mathematics are deliciously simple now. With the gap to fifth place looking increasingly comfortable and our rivals stumbling at crucial moments, Liverpool are edging ever closer to securing European football's top table for next season.

It's a remarkable turnaround from where we found ourselves just months ago. The pessimism that clouded Anfield during the darkest winter days seems like a distant memory when you consider how close we are to achieving what many thought impossible back in January.

The Everton win wasn't just about local bragging rights, though those certainly matter. It was another step towards mathematical certainty in our Champions League quest. Every point gained now feels like gold dust, every victory another brick in the wall we're building towards European qualification.

Of course, nothing is guaranteed in football, and Liverpool supporters know better than most how quickly fortunes can change. But with each passing matchday, the numbers become more favourable, the gap to those below us more comfortable.

The beauty of being this close is that it takes the pressure off while simultaneously ramping up the excitement. Three games to secure our place amongst Europe's elite once again.
